The Grande Prémio Internacional de Rio Maior em Marcha results from the organization of several  entities like the Câmara Municipal de Rio Maior, Desmor EM SA and the Clube de Natação de Rio Maior, with the support of the Associação de Atletismo de Santarém, the Federação Portuguesa de Atletismo and the World Athletics. This event is recognized internationally and is directed to the athletes of the modality; it consists in conducting a test with a specific programme for different levels, for both female and male athletes.
